Userguide: KardiaChain Wallet Extension

We have submitted the KardiaChain Wallet extension to the official Chrome web store (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions?hl=en) and Firefox add-ons store (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/). The official extension on these stores will be published soon. Currently, manually installing from GitHub releases is the only way to install our extension to your browser. The source code of KardiaChain Wallet extension is published by us at https://github.com/kardiachain/kardia-wallet-extension.

Manually download and install KardiaChain Wallet browser extension

You can get the latest release of KardiaChain Wallet extension at https://github.com/kardiachain/kardia-wallet-extension/releases/tag/beta-1.2.0, download the corresponding .zip file depending on your browser.

After unzipping the extension, follow these articles to add KardiaChain Wallet to your browser.

After successfully installed, the user interface of KardiaChain extension will appear as below.

Import your account to KardiaChain Wallet extension

You can only import your KardiaChain mainnet wallet into the extension using your seed phrase or hardware wallet, not private key or keystore file. After installing, you can set extension password and create a new wallet, or import your existing wallet using seed phrase.

After creating or importing your existing account, the main interface of KardiaChain Wallet extension will show up like below. You can add more accounts, track the balance and transaction history of each one and send KAI directly from the extension.

Connect your hardware wallet to KardiaChain Wallet extension

After installing and setting a password, you can import your hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor) into the extension by clicking the account button on the top right. Please make sure your device is unlocked before connecting to the KardiaChain Wallet extension. And if you are using Ledger, please make sure the Ethereum app is opened too.

After clicking “Connect hardware wallet”, you can choose to connect your Ledger or Trezor device, then follow the instructions to connect like using MetaMask. You can refer to this link (https://metamask.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020394612-How-to-connect-a-Trezor-or-Ledger-Hardware-Wallet).

Using KardiaChain Wallet extension to mainnet explorer

Now at https://explorer.kardiachain.io/access-wallet, you can connect to KardiaChain mainnet explorer using our extension. After unlocking the extension, you can click “Kardia Extension Wallet Connect” to one-click access your account.

After connecting your extension to the mainnet explorer, you can send transactions, deploy and interact with smart contracts within your confirmation on the KardiaChain extension UI like below.

After verifying the recipient address and necessary parameters, you can decide to reject or submit the transaction to blockchain.
