April 13, 2017 — Ionic 3

Today I learned about Ionic 3.

It wasn’t so long when Ionic 2 had their final release version for 2.0.0.

But a MAJOR update just a few moths after releasing the 2.0.0?! I know it’s a bit surprising. But don’t worry. The team assured that there’s no BIG of a change.

They just recently switched to SEMVER and this release includes upgrading their internal Angular version to 4.0.0 and has incompatible API changes. So it has to be a major release.
