The Karmabot customer is the actual product designer. This is the way we’ve been developing the bot from day one.

Originally the bot was trained to recognise 5 categories. However, we’ve soon realised — every team is unique. Different companies have different values.

Finally, we’re introducing Karmabot’s custom categories!

Karmabot utilises machine learning and speech recognition technology to analyse reasons for karma requests and builds the user profile based on this data. Karmabot comes with five preset categories:

  • Teamwork
  • Above & Beyond
  • Goals
  • Reliability
  • Communications

To set your own categories, please head over to the Options page and unlock custom categories feature.

Unlocking custom categories

Please note:

  • Auto-categorisation mechanism will be turned off.
  • All existing karma requests will be marked as non-categorised.
  • This action is irreversible and cannot be undone.

Karmabot needs some time to collect enough data and do the magic for you. Moderator has to set categories for 30-50 karma requests for each custom category first.
