Initially, Karmabot was our in-house tool at Sliday. A chatbot we built to make our team happier on Slack. We had a great team, but they were often not working effectively as a group, sometimes heading in opposite directions. The projects took longer and cost more. We developed Karmabot to get around these issues. We also realised that our many larger organisations were having the same problems. So we took Karmabot to the world.

Karmabot 1.0

The first version of Karmabot was all about karma. “++” for being cool or “ — “ if something went wrong. Those who work hard, have more karma. As simple as that. These are the building blocks for the people culture environment.

Karmabot 2.0

Karmabot 2.0 started using Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Machine Learning technologies to read, recognise and predict the reasons provided with karma requests to create a profile for each team member, inspiring team members to share karma between each other to create better work environment by rewarding excellence.

Karmabot 3.0

In Karmabot 3.0 we’re taking it to the next level. It’s hard to impossible to know what’s happening in chats when there are more than 50 team members. To address this issue we introduced Karmabot Status feature which provides an overview, of everyone’s activity. Each task is recorded and reflected on the status screen.

Status feature allows the manager to:
• See what the team is busy with
• Get daily reports online or via email
• Use full-screen dashboard (broadcasted to your office TVs)
• Set starting times for the remote team members

Karmabot 3.0 features
• Time-tracking
• Performance reviews
• Bonus and awarding system
• Team engagement visualised
• Profiles, statistics and reports
• Single Slack team is supported
• Leaderboards
• Quarterly and monthly goals
• Dashboard
• Active projects counter
• Each member karma history
• Unlimited CSV exporting
• Completed projects tracking and history
• Karmabot Chrome Extension
• Performance score
