Many people around the world asking us about Karma core ideas and mission. So, let’s talk about it.
The Core Idea
We believe there’s a huge potential of energy, creativity and love inside every human being.
But now it’s about 6 billions of people earn less than 750USD/month, 2.7 billions — less than 75USD/month (according to the United Nations report). The only creativity they can afford is a daily “how to survive” Q&A.
I’ve been there. I’ve lived in a communal apartment with 12 people in 4 rooms. I even know how to survive at 500USD/month per family for a long time, in one of the most expensive cities in the world. But that’s not a good option, because you spend 90% of your energy on thinking “where I will live and what I will eat next month”.
Thank God, there were a lot of optimistic people around, and I was smart enough to graduate the University. Positive environment opened dozens of wonderful opportunities, and somehow I’ve started making money.
When I became wealthy enough to not care about food and home, it led me to the greatest transformation. I’ve started thinking about how to help other people, how to fix the ecology issues and soon I’ve started doing some things in that direction.
Imagine, if everybody in the world will have the opportunity to became wealthy enough to not care about food and home. What if those 6 billions people will shift their focus from survival to creativity, ecology and helping each other?
We beleive that mindset shift will unleash more than 1000 of nuclear power plants equivalent of energy. And that energy will be more eco-friendly and cost-effective :)
How To Make It Possible?
Our plan is following:
1. Provide equal access to capital in every country.
There’s a 2.6 trillions of USD lack of small and medium enterprise loans all over the world. And that’s only what’s been counted by World Bank. If you add those SMEs, who haven’t registered their loan queries, there would be more.
And, from the other side, there’s 38 trillions of USD of bank deposits with negative interest rate. It’s much more than SMEs need to flourish.
2. Provide equal access to energy, food, clean water and houses
Current economy is designed in a very strange way. Most of the people live in cities. If you have born in the city, it’s almost impossible to buy a house. You should work hard to just earn the right for mortgage. And then you must pay interest rate during first 10 years, and then pay for the house itself for 10 years more.
Russia have a luxury 0.04USD per kWt/h retail energy price, but billions of people around the world paying several times more, both in rich and developing countries.
Also there’s a lot to do with clean water access. For example, 650 millions of people don’t have access to clean water, and many more have to pay half of the salary for the water.
Karma will establish the foundation for launching new global p2p-networks for energy, food, water and housing supply. To make those basic resources more accessible and cheaper for the people.
3. Provide education on how to run a business and how to invest
Karma will establish an educational network both for the SMEs owners (on how to run a business, make it more profitable and sustainable) and for the investors (how to invest, manage the risks, create portfolios).
If we make it possible to spread only 2 trillions of USD from those 38, laying dead in the negative-interest bank deposits, we will allow:
- Hundreds of thousands of SMEs around the world to earn more money, developing their business and create new working places.
- Millions of investors to have more interest on their capital.
