On April 15th at 8pm, NFT KARTEL Discord held an AMA where you can hear various information and Q&A about META WORLD: MY CITY. This AMA was specially designed to have a conversation between “Dennis Jr” from Let’s Get Rich and “Dennis” from Meta World.

With nearly 80 attendees in attendance, what did we talk about?

Dennis :Hello, Kartel Marblers, my name is Dennis from <Meta World: My City>, and I’m joined by Junior Dennis, my 10-year-old self, and we’re going to have a great time hosting today’s AMA.

Dennis Jr : Today’s AMA session is dedicated to questions from Marblers, so let’s start with Dennis and the game <Let’s Get Rich>.

<Introduction to Let’s get rich and MetaWorld: My City IPs>

Dennis : I’m sure most of my friends here know and have played <Let’s Get Rich>, which was first released in South Korea in 2013 and has since been released around the world, including Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, and China.

<Let’s Get Rich> is a global mega-hit game that has been played by 200 million users over the past decade and has grossed over $900 million in total revenue. It’s done really well in many countries, reaching the top of the market revenue rankings multiple times, especially in Thailand, where it has become so popular that it’s called the national game, and recently reached the top of the Thai app store revenue rankings.

<Meta World: My City> Thailand showcase on April 8 drew a huge crowd of fans, including many famous influencers, who filled the venue.

<Introduction and ecosystem of Meta World: My City>

Dennis Jr : Can you tell us more about the game? I’m sure our friends are curious.

Dennis : Of course! <Meta World: My City> is a more fun board game than ever before. While we’re keeping the characters and fun elements of our predecessors, we’re also introducing dice cards, card decks, and other unique features to give users something new to look forward to.

In addition, in <Metaworld: My City>, you can enjoy a board game and a virtual real estate metaverse at the same time. In particular, Metaworld is based on real cadastral maps, so you can experience differentiated metaverse content unique to Metaworld.

Dennis Jr : Is that even possible?

Dennis : <Meta World: My City> was developed by the same team that brought you the world’s most popular game of the decade, <Let’s Get Rich>. In other words, <Meta World: My City> is a direct sequel to <Let’s Get Rich>.

It is the culmination of the know-how we’ve gained over the years of developing and servicing <Let’s Get Rich>. In addition, it supports 13 languages including Korean, English, German, French, Spanish, and Chinese, as well as cross-platform support between PC and mobile to further improve the user’s playing experience.

Dennis Jr : Now let’s talk a little more about blockchain. It’s already public knowledge that you’re using ITU tokens, but what we don’t know is how you’ve incorporated blockchain into the game! This is something that many Marblers are curious about.

Dennis : Let me briefly introduce the talkonomics of <Meta World: My City>. You can earn ‘metacash’ by winning board games or owning virtual real estate in the MetaWorld. This metacash can be exchanged for a game token called ITU, which can then be monetized by exchanging it for MBX.

For reference, one Metacash can be exchanged for 10 ITUs. The ITUs mentioned here are the same tokens that are currently being used on A3 Still Alive.

Dennis Jr : Are there any other economic structures that are unique to <Meta World : My City>?

Dennis : As I mentioned earlier, the biggest feature is that it has a structure that can sustain the talkonomics unlike traditional games because it can be monetized through virtual real estate ownership, and there is a solid incinerator of character enhancement and real estate investment.

In addition, <Meta World: My City> has devised a groundbreaking plan to build more stable and sustainable talkonomics. We’ll be unveiling them at various offline events in the coming days, so please stay tuned for more details.

Dennis Jr : By the way, when can we expect to see <Meta World: My City>?

Dennis : <Meta World: My City> will have its grand opening on April 19 at 12:00 (UTC+09:00), and there are many benefits to pre-booking, so if you haven’t already done so, please pre-register <link> through the official site. The time is running out.

<Q&A session>

Dennis Jr : We’ve had a lot of people ask us questions about <Meta World: My City>, and we’re going to focus on the ones that resonated with them that we haven’t covered before. You ready, Dennis?

Dennis : Sure, feel free to ask.

Q1 : I understand that <Meta World: My City> is a virtual world where users can create their own avatars and interact in various virtual environments. I would like to know more about avatars and ask if there is a “rarity” for avatars, and I am also curious about the various virtual spaces that will be updated in the future.

Dennis : <Meta World: My City> offers a variety of avatar customization features. Users can freely select various elements such as body type, hairstyle, and clothing to create their own unique avatar. In addition, they can also use various costumes to make their avatar look even better.

Avatars don’t have a separate rarity concept — the costume price varies by item, but the difference in price does not indicate rarity. As for the metaworld, we’ll be starting with the New York City area at launch on April 19th, and will be adding other world cities like Paris, London, Bangkok, and more in the future.

Q2 : I think the metaverse needs to be fun, scalable, and open for it to be successful. Since it’s based on a board game, I think it will be fun. I’m wondering how you will secure openness and scalability in the future and if you have a roadmap for this. For example, sharing a worldview with existing Netmarble games.

Dennis : <Meta World: My City> will be expanded into a comprehensive metaverse platform representing global metaverse projects in the future.

Starting with board games, we will add various genres of games in the future to become a comprehensive gaming platform for users around the world to enjoy together, as well as add various in-game interaction elements such as metaverse squares to strengthen the metaverse element. Stay tuned for more great things to come from Metaworld.

Q3 : I want to know how the Play to Earn system works in-game.

Dennis : This is the part that most people here are probably curious about — users can earn Metacash, which is an in-game reward, and exchange it for MBX, a public token, which can then be traded on exchanges for profit. Currently, MBX is listed on various exchanges including Bithumb, Huobi, Bybit, MEXC, and Gate.io.

There are two main ways to earn metacash. First, you can earn metacash by playing board games. Board games have seasonal rankings (each season lasts about 40 days), and users can earn metacash by reaching the top of certain rankings.

Especially for the upcoming launch season, the top ranked users will be rewarded with an NFT building worth approximately $27,000 in appraised value, so live your landlord dreams on MetaWorld.

The second way to earn metacash is by becoming a Structure Item Holder within the virtual world Metaworld. Structure Items can be acquired through subscription, auction, or real estate transactions, and by doing so, you can earn daily metacash as a reward for achieving a certain level of Investment License.

It’s important to note that the amount of rewards returned to Structure Item Holders increases as the <Meta World: My City> ecosystem becomes more active.

However, the number of metacash issued is a drastic departure from the infinite mining method borrowed from most existing P2E games, and is designed to provide the right amount of metacash based on ecosystem activity, so that the value of metacash can stably increase in the long run. Users will have to trade with other building item holders to acquire the scarce supply, so early entrants will be able to take advantage of the market price differential.

Q4 : I’m curious as to why you chose not to mint NFTs, given your focus on metaverse and P2E.

Dennis : Rather than minting NFTs to enter the game, <Meta World: My City> is designed so that you can basically earn items through the game, grow them to a certain level, and then NFT them.

Players will be able to mint (NFT) their favorite character cards or building items in-game and freely trade them on external NFT market exchanges starting April 26. The idea is to democratize NFTs by allowing users who are unfamiliar with NFTs to experience them in a natural way, and build on that to create a real-world NFT presence.

Our goal with <Meta World: My City> is to create something of real value, not something that is ‘virtual’, and we believe that value lies in a solid community and real-world utility of the token. As mentioned earlier, metacash can also be used to acquire and enhance character cards and virtual real estate.

<Meta World: My City> will not follow the precedent of other P2E games that allowed unlimited token mining without proper utilization, which led to the collapse of tokenomics. We hope to build a stronger ecosystem with our users rather than chasing a lot of immediate revenue.

As a service developed and operated by Netmarble, the world’s top publisher, you can expect nothing less. If you share our vision of the future of <Meta World: My City> and want to join us, please log in to the game and become a building owner in the virtual world of Metaworld through subscription, auction, or trade.

Q5 : We’ve seen many games thrive with a community of players, such as guilds. Does <Meta World: My City> have a guild-like community system, and what are the benefits, if any, of playing together?

Dennis : Since launch, we’ve been considering an update to our friend and team play modes. Playing with friends or teammates will give you a different experience than playing alone, because fun is more fun together :)

In addition, we will be collaborating with globally recognized DAOs such as Guildfi, Avocado, and Kartel to further expand the ecosystem of <Meta World: My City>. We are considering a variety of content such as modes that allow multiple DAOs and guilds to join forces and compete for a specific region or game.

After the Q&A session, NFT KARTEL Discord also held a quiz event for the attendees. As <Meta World: My City> is attracting a lot of attention at home and abroad, many people participated enthusiastically.

During the AMA, many people asked us, “So there are no benefits for marblership?” We also answered this question at the end of the AMA.

“One more thing, we’re also planning events for Marblership holders. We’re planning a number of events, such as airdrops of Meta World lands and buildings, and events where you can earn Marblerships by playing Meta World, so Marblership holders can look forward to that.”

Finally, for those of you who are tired of reading long articles, here’s a 7-line summary of the information that came out of the AMA.

  • Meta World : My City is a board game + real estate game. It aims to be a comprehensive platform for the Metaverse.
  • Meta World: My City is scheduled to launch on April 19, and the marketplace will launch on April 26.
  • It will use a new commodity called ‘Metacash’, and the exchange cost between it and ITU tokens will be set at 1:10.
  • The minted quantity of Metacash is not infinite, and the supply will be adjusted based on the activity of the ecosystem.
  • You can play board games to become a ranker, or earn money through real estate transactions in the MetaWorld.
  • NFTs will not be minted first, and will be available for trading after a period of nurturing.
  • MBX are planning a land and building airdrop event for Marblership holders.

This is the end of our Meta World: My City AMA with NFT KARTEL. With less than a week to go until April 19th, the game launches and we at NFT KARTEL will be actively participating in the Meta World: My City ecosystem. If you’re interested in joining us, we invite you to join our community.

It’s okay if you don’t know about blockchain. That’s what guilds are all about, learning from each other and growing together, so let’s take on the challenge with the KARTEL.
