This week marks an important milestone for us at Kast. We have been talking about how we see Kast as a viable alternative to the cinema-going experience when the whole industry needs to adapt to these changing times: the social experience that watch parties bring to your home is the way to go. And now, we are taking the next steps down this road as our first-ever content collaboration is here!

We’ve partnered up with Dark Matter TV by TriCoast, an independent film production company to bring you 10 handpicked movies from classics to contemporary gems in the horror, sci-fi and action genre. Over the next few weeks, we invite you to our very own curated watch party hosted by Kast team members.

Exact viewing times for each movie will be announced on Twitter and on the watch party’s banner. You will also get a chance to vote on what we watch next, so make sure to follow us @kasthq!

Grab a popcorn and let’s see what we’ve got for you! 🍿

Post-apocalyptic thrillers with a killer virus, anyone?

Domain (2016)

A lone survivor, lethal creatures of the night in a post-apocalyptic fight for life.

Hostile (2017)

After a deadly virus wipes out most of humanity, the survivors are forced to wait in self-sustaining bunkers. Then all hell breaks loose…

Who would survive a zombie apocalypse: Dolph Lundgren or Chuck Norris? Why not both!

Don’t Kill It (2017)

Dolph Lundgren fighting an ancient satanic monster who cannot be killed. Enough said.

Silent Rage (1982)

Chuck Norris is up against a self-healing murderer — I honestly can’t imagine anyone else better suited to fight them off, but we shall see together.

True gems to appreciate together

Fantastic Planet (1973)

This award-winning adult sci-fi animation is a unique experience: blue aliens and enslaved humans, tackling real issues topped with beautiful animation and music.

Violence Voyager (2018)

Directed by Ujicha, this Japanese horror movie is made entirely of cardboard puppets. You have never seen anything like this before — that, I can promise!

A group of friends embark on a journey to investigate rare creatures or stumble upon a lost ruin…What on earth could go wrong?

Like A Bat Outta Hell (2013)

Creature feature. A group of documentary makers chasing a giant bat. “Inspired by real events.” What’s not to love?

Dead Squad: Temple of the Undead (2018)

Lost in the jungle, a group of friends stumble upon a long lost ruin that is home to mysterious monsters. Run for your lives!

Horror from the ’70s, not for the faint of heart!

Tales from the Crypt (1972)

An anthology of five short stories told by the old Crypt Keeper. “Death lives.”

Rabid (1977)

The tagline says it all: “Pray it doesn’t happen to you. You can’t trust your mother…your best friend…your neighbor next door… One minute they’re perfectly normal, the next…Rabid!”

So, this is the lineup. We’ll provide the stream, you just need to kick back and relax — and help us decide what to watch next. See you there!
