The wait is finally over, Kast TV has arrived straight to your watch parties earlier this week. And here is everything you need to know about the new feature that brings the experience of watching your favorite content together to a whole new level.
Think of Kast TV as your shared TV in your virtual living room. A place to hang out with your friends while watching your favorite content together.
But wait… isn’t that what Kast is all about? What’s new then?
Until now, your only option for watching together was to share your screen. Now with Kast TV, we’re bringing you a different approach: the ability to stream content directly from the cloud in your watch parties. You no longer depend on that one kaster friend with a high-end laptop and high-speed internet connection (as we all know, streaming and sharing at the same time takes its toll on your setup…). With Kast TV, anyone can easily launch content (in a few weeks even from mobile!) and host watch parties. And the best thing is: when playing content from Kast TV, you can turn on your mic or cam and talk while watching, without any echo.This way you can connect with your SO, friends and family just like you would IRL while watching your favorite videos and movies together even when you’re apart.
All you have to do is enter your watch party, invite your friends and launch Kast TV in your party. You can stream content directly from the cloud by choosing free to watch services such as Tubi (YouTube and more coming soon), or Kast TV’s very own content library with 80+ titles of indie gems, ranging from underrated romance flicks to quirky comedy, bloody horror or sci-fi.
Kast TV’s own library is the first global and truly social video-on-demand service within a watch party app. Access to this content is a premium feature, but others can freely watch along with you.
With a Kast Premium account, you can access all titles to watch with your friends and enjoy all other premium features such as an ad-free experience, HD streaming and exclusive reactions for a small monthly fee. You can start your free trial in your profile settings, just look for the 💎 sign.

We are super excited to launch Kast TV and we feel this a first step towards something new: watch parties without boundaries. We are planning to widen our offering in the coming months both by integrating more third-party free to watch services and buying more content for Kast TV’s library, based on community feedback. Show your preferences: like titles to vote them up and give feedback to point us in the right direction when it comes to content. To further elevate the social watching experience, our team is also working on community recommendations and ways to enable you to show what you like — more on this later.
