Introducing Aksara: Kata.ai Design Language System
At Kata.ai, we aim to empower people by giving them a more human way to interact with technology. To accomplish that, we have been hard at work laying the foundation to improve the design and the experience of our product.
After almost six months of brewing, the Design Team of Kata.ai is proud to announce the release of Aksara, Kata.ai’s Design Language System.
Aksara
Aksara /ak·sa·ra/ noun
is a system of graphic marks representing the units of a specific language. It is made to express thoughts and ideas in written form.
Aksara contains foundations, voice and tone guidelines, component standards, and other guidelines that systematically improve quality, timeliness, and consistency to our product.
Version 0.18.1 of Aksara is now available on aksara.kata.ai
Wicara
Wicara /wi·ca·ra/ noun
the expression of or the ability to express thoughts and feelings by articulate sounds.
Previously known as kata-kit, Wicara is the implementation of Aksara using React framework. It is designed to be flexible and reusable React components.
Wicara’s documentation is now accessible on Storybook here.
Aksara & Wicara are still in its first iteration, indeed building a Design Language System is a process that never ends. Moving forward, we will constantly maintain and enrich both Aksara & Wicara to deliver the best experience for our users.
