Entrepreneurship is not easy, let alone today. Globalization puts a very wide catalog of technological tools at the user’s disposal, although on the one hand this is something beneficial for him, on the other it can represent a threat for the entrepreneur.
As technology entrepreneurs, much of our work is to detect the needs of users to offer tools that solve a problem or offer a value proposition to a niche market. But it is also very true that in order to start our startup it is necessary to have economic resources, not so many to operate a big company, but enough to offer our users a good service and that our operation is the most optimal possible.
That is why another duty as an entrepreneur is to inform us, seek, be immersed and present in both government and private initiatives that support and encourage startups and entrepreneurs, not only for the fact of seeking the economic benefit but to be part of and strengthen the community of developers, entrepreneurs, designers, etc. Which seek to grow just like you.
As an example, We currently, in Mexico, we are competing in a contest called: “Challenge Applying Mexico” (“Reto Applicando México” <in Spanish>). This is basically a contest that tests entrepreneurs, specifically developers, focused on fin-tech projects.
In the first stage the contestants must send the project in writing along with a video explaining. After a selection process the finalists who pass to the second stage must present their projects in front of a group of experts in the matter and finally the choice of winners. The final selection includes 5 winners including the first place, each with an economic reward in order to encourage the project to start it.
Personally, we are very happy to have accepted the Applying Mexico Challenge (“Reto Applicando México” <in Spanish>), we believe it is very important that as developers and entrepreneurs we know the tools and initiatives that the countries in this case Mexico provide to its inhabitants to boost their projects.
We advise you as an entrepreneur to do the same, get informed and participate in the different private or government initiatives that your country offers not only for the economic rewards that you can get, but also because it is important that you get involved, know and become bigger the community of developers and entrepreneurs, remember that together we are strong (:
