How to Upgrade to V2
WHY
Last month, CityCoins holders voted on an upgrade to the emissions schedule between the blocks 55,150 and 57,249 (2100 blocks). The vote was over with the voters absolute support for the upgrade (135 yes / 1 no), and the V2 upgrade proceeded.
WHEN
There is no due date, but we recommend you to upgrade your CityCoins token to be compatible with the upgraded V2 protocol.
From MIA cycle 17 and NYC cycle 11, the upgraded V2 CityCoins token will be awarded for mining.
WHAT
All CityCoins you have in Hiro wallet all stacked CityCoins.(Both MIA/NYC)
HOW
Hiro
You’ll need to upgrade CityCoins you have in your Hiro wallet to V2 tokens. You can easily complete this upgrade now by using the upgrade your CityCoins to V2 function at V2-upgrade.
- Connect your wallet using the ‘Connect Wallet’ button.
- Select MIA or NYC, and click the ‘Upgrade’ button.
- Click ‘confirm’ at the bottom of the ‘convert-to-v2’ mode.
STACKING
You can claim your CityCoins tokens and Stacks rewards from MIA cycle 16 and NYC cycle 10 after the current cycle.

Only V2 tokens can be stacked and claimed on the KCV website. V1 token owners can upgrade their tokens through our V2 UPGRADE menu.
REWARD
Unclaimed STX until MIA cycle 15 / NYC cycle 9 can be claimed as follows.

- Select “claim-stacking-reward”
- Enter in the Cycle you want to claim for (except for MIA Cycle 16 or NYC Cycle 10 — do not claim these yet).
If you try to claim previously stacked V1 CityCoins tokens during MIA cycle 16 and NYC cycle 10, you will not be able to receive any STX rewards from the two cycles.
