Today we release our 2022.1 update for Blender and Nuke — it’s a maintenance update consisting mainly of bug fixes and platform support improvements.

This version supports Blender 3.1 and works natively on Apple Silicon builds of Blender. In terms of features, we added the possibility to apply expressions from photos to the 3D model; split up rigidity controls of eye blinking, neck movements and general facial expressions; and added basic photo adjustment for tweaking images in case they’re too dark or bright.

In Nuke, FaceBuilder and FaceTracker nodes received the same improvements to the rigidity customisation.

Starting with this version, our License Server is using a new, more stable Hardware ID algorithm. It should help in situations when the hardware is changing often, for example, due to a VPN connection that creates new virtual network adapters.
