A New Kind of League

Anyone who has ever entered the Fantasy Fellowship group chat for even a minute knows that it has become a place fraught with debate. Are running backs important? Should we be a half-point or full point league?! Which whiskey is best!?! With that being said, it has become clear that every debate we have comes down to this: I am right, you are wrong. I am smart, and you are dumb. And in the end, we are dumber, and weaker for it. So, I say to hell with the debate! After all, I am right and smart, and you are wrong and dumb!

Now introducing: The Dictator League!

A re-draft league where the winner gets to decide (almost) all the rules for the following year. Winning gives you the power of being right, no matter what anyone else says. You can adjust roster sizes, playoff schedules, points awarded for different actions, and more! Basically, anything within the basic confines of a re-draft league.

I will be the Dictator for the inaugural season because as I said above, I am right and smart. Therefore, I will set the rules as follows:

Roster Sizes:

• 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex, 1DEF, 0K

Point System (Tiered PPR):

• 0–4 yard reception: 0 points
• 5–9 yard reception: .25 points
• 10–19 yard reception: .5 points
• 20–29 yard reception: 0.75 points
• 30–39 yard reception: 1 point
• 40+ yard reception: 1.25 points
• 40+ yard TD reception: 1.5 points

Playoffs:

• 6 teams, starts Week 14 (ends Week16), decided by Wins, then Points For.

Draft:

• Snake — draft pick trading allowed

Punishment:

• Non-playoff teams (bottom four) will compete for draft order selections by competing in a post-season combine made up of physical events meant to mimic the NFL combine.
