For many of you (out of the thousands that read this), week 13 was among the highest stakes weeks of the year. Most of our leagues are so competitive, it was common that four separate teams’ playoff hopes hinged on this week’s outcome. This could have led to some awkward Thanksgiving interactions as you watched in horror as Cole Beasley brought down another touchdown for your opponent just as Uncle Dave brought up impeachment. That’s a move I like to call the “down and out”.

Games of the Week

Dictator League

Swandog v. Wmcampbell

  • Here’s the thing…this exact thing happened to me last year in Keeper league. Last year, I won game of the week against Joey in the last week of the regular season, and the following week I again went up against Joey , this time in the playoffs, and he beat me by 200 points (or something like that). So I can’t say that I am too excited about the fact that I won the game of the week this week in Dictator only to have to stare down a re-match with Will next week in the playoffs.

Dynasty League

RIP Nick Platt v. Born for This

  • Joey got Fitzmagic-ed! There were a lot of absurdities in this match-up in what was an otherwise relatively normal week. Tyler Lockett, Michael Thomas, and Nick Chubb disappointed while Robert Woods, Carson Wentz, and Kyle Rudolph crushed expectations. But anything can happen in fantasy football and now Joey is looking at a second-place finish for the first time ever.

Keeper League

No Chubb No Problem v. Stay Off the Weed

  • True to his name, Rob won game of the week without the help of Nick Chubb and solidified his spot in first place. Rob has won this league before and if he can repeat his success he will be the only two-time Keeper league champion. Considering the turnover in Keeper, this is a pretty impressive feat…I mean only one team has made the playoffs in every year of the league’s existence. This was an insanely competitive league this year but Rob proved his team was far and away the best. Let’s see if he can keep it up for three more weeks.

Trivia

These two teams have the best win percentage in the months of December and January since 2012.
