Fantasy football is a cruel, cruel mistress. All year you rely on guys like Derrick Henry, Dalvin Cook, and Julian Edelman, and in the penultimate game of the season, they disappoint. Meanwhile, Kenyon Drake, Breshad Perriman, and Miles Sanders wreaked havoc upon fantasy match-ups everywhere. The underdog performances by those players seemed to be a harbinger of bad things to come for the top-ranked teams. In Keeper, the #1 ranked team fell to the #5 ranked team while the #2 ranked team fell to the #3. In Dynasty, the #1 ranked team fell to the #4. Finally, in Dictator the #6 knocked off the #2. Favorites beware, the underdogs are here.

Playoff Match-ups

Dictator League

Dormansmash v. Wmcampbell

  • You know what they say, a rising Christian McCaffrey lifts all teams. Despite losing Godwin in the middle of the game, Michael Gallup only catching a single pass, and a below-average week from Patrick Laird, Mark was able to weather the storm this week thanks mostly to McCaffrey’s strong performance. Aaron Jones and the New England defense did some damage for Will’s team, but the rest of the squad underwhelmed. Mark will have to find a replacement for Godwin if he wants to dawn the Dictator crown.

Odhran v. Mtautkus

  • Odhran pulled off another massive upset to put himself into a position to bring home the championship. But he isn’t without worry going into next week with Dalvin Cook out of the line-up. He proved he could win against a strong team without Cook, but it’ll take another epic Terry McLaurin (5/5, 130, 1) game to do so. He’s the league’s only hope to save kickers once and for all (until 2021).

Dynasty League

Team Tautkus v. Team DORMANator

  • One of the biggest upsets of the season that truly represented what went down in Week 15. All season long Mark touted the potential of Derrick Henry, Deebo Samuel, and Michael Gallup. All three let him down. Meanwhile, Tautkus is heading back to the championship. You may not remember, but Tautkus won this league back in its inaugural season. He will look to regain his title against the league’s defending champ.

Born for This v. Keenan and Kelce

  • This was one of the few “non-upsets” of the week. While Odhran put forth his best effort (one that would have won in the league’s other match-up) it wasn’t enough to withstand the onslaught of points brought on by a Barkley breakout, a Davante demolition, a Thomas torpedo, and a Lockett Rocket. I’m sure Odhran will be staring at the 35 points Miles Sanders left on his bench for quite a while.

Keeper League

Loser City v. No Chubb No Problem

  • Starting both Miles Sanders and Kenyon Drake normally would have been acceptable only for teams looking to work their way towards a number one overall pick. Not this week. This was a week to lay it all out there, and it worked. Credit to Rob who had the #1 overall team during the regular season in an intensely competitive league. Odhran will be without Kerryon Johnson, Mike Evans, and now Dalvin Cook for the championship, but who needs them when you have Kenyon Drake!?

Darren McFadden v. Jules Do Full Rondos

  • Despite going into Monday night up by 50, John had to have been nervous when Matt C still had Michael Thomas in his line-up. But despite the monstrous week by Thomas, it wasn’t enough to take down John who has now had two strong weeks in a row as he marches towards the championship. With a healthy roster, he’s looking to be the favorite going into the week. As you’ve read above, that’s not always a good thing.
