This week will forever (aka a couple of weeks) be known as the week of the young back-up QB breakouts. Gardner “everything that is good and right” Minshew kicked it off in his short jorts on Thursday, Kyle Allen and Jacoby Brissett kept it going on Sunday, and Danny-Dimes a Dozen brought down the house on Sunday night. I will be the first to admit that I was wrong about Daniel Jones. I laughed when he was drafted 6th overall but I honestly turned on the Giants game and went “wow, I didn’t know that Eli could still throw the ball that well”. Eventually, I figured out that no, Eli cannot still (or ever could) throw the ball that well. It’s only been one game against a bad team, but things are looking up for the team that stole perfection in ‘07. How does that make you feel Eli?

Games of the Week:

Dictator League:

Spatatorship v. Dormansmash

  • Looks like Trader Joey was sick of hearing about Dorman so much in these recaps and took matters into his own hands by starting a line-up that would make even Draftkings and Fanduel-ers jealous. A three-headed dragon of Mark Ingram, Julio Jones, and Mike Evans led to Joey’s 163 -120 victory over Dorman. It was the largest blowout of the week despite Dorman putting up the fourth-highest point total. Not only did Evans’ big week lead Joey to a victory in the Dictator league but also put him on the winning side of a Taco bet between the two opponents.

Dynasty League:

BC Grills v. Team DORMANator

  • This might be the highest point total for a dynasty team (in our league) ever. BC Grills put up a whopping 221.5 points thanks to the best QB situation a guy could ask for in Pat Mahomes and DeShaun Watson. It should be noted that this sky-high point total was achieved without Mike Evans who was on most week-winning rosters. John is likely on a path of destruction after a championship loss last season, and his team looks primed to make a run.

Keeper League:

Gridiron Goats v. Jules Do Full Rondos

  • There’s probably a 0.0% chance he reads this, but Aidan has achieved his first “game of the week” honor! The Gridiron Goats were propelled into the “game of the week” due to an explosive 21 point performance by the Bears DEF, but don’t let that distract you from the fact that they still would’ve won the matchup even if the Bears DEF scored -2.2. Which is a fancy way of saying that the Gridiron Goats won by a LOT.
