Keeper How To Series: Mobile App Overview
Keeper is a multiplatform cryptocurrency wallet that provides users with advanced storage and exchange capabilities for crypto assets. In this series of articles, we will explain in detail the features of the wallet, and how to get started with Keeper on different devices.
How to Install the Keeper Mobile App?
The installation process of the Keeper app is no different from installing any other mobile app. All you have to do is go to the iOS or Android app store and download Keeper Wallet completely free.
Login Screen
The first time you launch the app, you will be offered to create a password and pin code for quick access to your accounts. Once you come up with a password and pin code and click “Continue,” you will be taken to the login screen. Here you can either create a new account or import an existing one.
At the moment, it is possible to import accounts via Seed phrase or Private Key, and it is also possible to connect via Ledger device.
If you choose to create a new account, it will be created through a Seed phrase. Write it down and save it in a safe place, as it gives you access to your account in case of loss or authorization on a new device.
Home Screen
After logging in, you will be taken to the home screen of the Keeper Wallet app. At the top you will see the name of your account and the total value of assets in US dollars. Under the balance information are buttons “Swap” and “Send” for quick access to exchanging tokens in the application or sending them to another wallet.
There are two tabs on the app’s home screen that you can switch between: a wallet with a list of all your assets and a transaction history. By clicking on a token or transaction, you can see detailed information.
In the upper left corner is the main menu, where you can find out details about your account, view your transaction history, add accounts, see a list of sites linked to the account, and change some security settings, such as password, pin code, and authorization with phone biometrics.
Token Swap
Pressing the “Swap” button takes you to the token exchange screen. Here you can select the account for which you want to swap, as well as specify tokens and their amount to be exchanged. After entering the amount of tokens, the Keeper aggregator will calculate the exact amount you will receive, and you will be able to confirm the transaction.
Sending Tokens to Another Wallet
Pressing the “Send” button on the home screen of the app takes you to a screen for sending tokens to another wallet. Here you can select your account from which you want to send tokens, specify the asset and the desired amount to send, and enter the recipient’s address. Once all fields are filled in, you can complete the transaction.
Connecting to Websites
One of the key features of the Keeper mobile app is the ability to quickly connect your wallet to sites and dApps using your phone. Connection is made in one of two ways:
- Through the QR-code. To do this, you need to activate the camera by clicking on the icon in the upper right corner and pointing it at the QR code, which will be shown on the site when you click “Connect”. This option is suitable if you have access to the site on another device.
- Through automatic authorization. If you connect the wallet to the site via a mobile browser from a phone on which the Keeper app is installed, the authorization through the app is offered. In this case you just need to confirm the connection operation by pressing the “Connect” button.

Signing transactions
Once your wallet is connected to the site or dApp, you can receive transaction signing requests on your smartphone, even if you’re using a different platform. The requests contain up-to-date information about the transaction, so you can make sure your funds are being sent to the right destination.
