Keeper Launches WAKE Utility Token
In the past 2 years Keeper has grown from a humble browser extension to an entire family of products, unified by the concept of a clear and accessible Web3 environment with maximum security. The release of our own token is a logical development of our idea of a better user experience. Introducing WAKE, the new utility token of the Keeper project.
What Does WAKE Do?
The token serves as a link between all Keeper products and users, who receive a single infrastructure for profitable transactions and investments, and gain control over both their personal experience with crypto-assets and the further development of Keeper. With WAKE, you will be able to:
- Pay transaction fees
- Pay exchange fees with Keeper Swap Aggregator
- Get a discount on fees
- Vote for new protocols and services
- Gain access to additional features and services
Fee Payments
WAKE is a sponsor token of the Waves blockchain, so it can be used as a means to pay transaction fees alongside WAVES and other options. The amount of the fee depends on the current exchange rate of the token and will be dynamically calculated by the smart contract.
Cashback Mechanics
For choosing WAKE as a means of paying transaction fees, users will receive cashback. WAKE tokens will be calculated and credited monthly.
Participation in Voting
With WAKE, users will be able to decide the fate of certain Keeper products’ development. These can be proposals for protocols that work with WAKE, support of new blockchains and integration services, token listings, etc.
To vote, WAKE tokens must be locked in a special smart contract. The weight of each user’s vote will be calculated in proportion to the number of WAKEs locked.
Token Burning
To maintain the WAKE price, we have included a token-burning mechanic. So, the tokens collected from fees can be partly burned.

Any user will be able to exchange their crypto assets for WAKE in Keeper Wallet, as well as on the official website and through trading on exchanges.
WAKE support and development
Over time, the features of the new utility token will expand, providing users with new ways to interact with Keeper products. In the near future, there are plans to introduce additional user benefits that will be activated for WAKE tokens. It will also be possible to participate in deciding WAKE’s usage range.
