The Description of my House
When I was in Haiti, my house was in Delmas, it is one of the richest regions in Port au Prince, the capital of Haiti. The house was a wonderful house. According to Maya Angelou, an American Author ̈ There is no place like home ́
A home is a beautiful place where I can enjoy fun, live in peace, and I feel comfortable. My house was nice, and it had five different rooms. Inside of the house was very wonderful where, there was three big windows, where the sun seemed to bounce off of them. The kitchen was big, and there were two different stoves, two refrigerators, and a big table with five chairs. Inside of the house had many different types of blinds, but there were no curtains. In almost every room, there was air-conditioning, because Haiti is a tropical country. The air Conditioning helped the house always stay cool! My big Sister´s room and mine were closed, to the living room. My Dad room was at the second floor, at the door´s room of my Dad had an image bible. The fourth rooms were at the second floor, it was closed to the library. The last room specially reserved only for foreigners and guest. In each room had a flash screen TV with cable, where people could watch what’s happening throughout the world. My Dad sent four sofas that from in the United States for the living room, and a small brown table with an antique floral centerpiece sat along with clock, and Santo Claus toy.
On the outside of the house, there many beautiful different types of flowers such as roses, green, brown, and different types of plants. When people are walking to the front porch by the sidewalk, most of them always stop to look at the yard of my house, because they like the flowers, the plants, the color of the lawns, and the way outside of the house was painted. The gate to entering to the yard was painted with a light brown and white which made an active, and scenic path to the eyes. There were four different types of sewing in the yard. One was for my little niece. My Mom had one, she used to use it, is when she wanted to enjoy fun, and the others were reserved for when Dad would come with visitors from the United States. Because of the yard was beautiful, when somebody is getting married, they could rent the yard to make reception. Finally, the exterior of the house was awesome! For example, once upon a time, my Dad went to Haiti with to two brothers, and one of them liked the architecture the outside of the house, so much that said that there is no contrast between his yard and mine.
Ultimately, I don’t see other houses throughout where I lived in Port-au-Prince that I can compare to my house. In addition, inside and outside of the house were very nice, because the architecture was peasant and the color were attractive. Now, I ́m living in the United States and throughout the house my Dad has America ́s architecture, and interior of it designs themes on the inside and on the outside as well makes it clearly different than what we have in Haiti.
