Bitcoin Earn Wins ETHDenver tBTC Hackathon Prize
The hackathon, held in partnership with Compound, awarded the prize for the best Bitcoin-to-DeFi experience to the Bitcoin Earn team.
Bitcoin Earn is the official winner of tBTC’s ETHDenver hackathon, held in conjunction with Compound, whose tBTC integration lets people build on with Bitcoin and is live now. Congratulations to the team behind the project, which delivered a beautiful user experience for a clear, important value proposition.
Bitcoin Earn lets people earn interest on their BTC and access DeFi swaps while still holding the BTC itself. The project fully fulfilled the hackathon’s mandate with the best Bitcoin-to-DeFi experience. Bitcoin Earn demonstrated beautiful and simple UI, a direct implementation of the BTC-to-tBTC to-ctBTC flow, and outstanding UX details for safety and simplicity. The team produced an all-around great experience that would appeal to a Bitcoin holder who isn’t normally comfortable using DeFi apps.
The Bitcoin Earn team wins the $3,000 DAI bounty for placing first in the hackathon.
Robosaver, which aggregates rates from different DeFi platforms and automatically rebalances user accounts to provide them with the highest interest rate, was awarded the runner-up prize. We were impressed by the use case — a portfolio rebalancer for DeFi rates that includes Bitcoin is something we see real need for in the market. We are excited to see what the Robosaver team produces in the future.
tBTC’s JavaScript repository, which contains the libraries these teams used to hack these projects, is live now. Check out the tbtc.js repository on GitHub to see how tBTC can help devs integrate BTC into their dapps.
