The Keep Network x NuCypher hard merge community vote is on Monday, May 10th

The Keep Network x NuCypher hard merge AKA Project KEANU is progressing at a strong pace with community involvement at the forefront of development. For an overview of the process to date, check out our blog post on the subject — KEANU So Far. Here, we’ll discuss the timeline for the upcoming KEANU hard merge community vote.

A number of proposals have emerged that detail the technical and processual specifics of how Keep Network and NuCypher can coalesce in the most advantageous and equitable fashion. Below are the three proposals that have emerged with the most support thus far:

BenLongstaff: https://forum.keep.network/t/discussion-and-draft-design-t2-token/141

State: https://forum.keep.network/t/discussion-and-draft-design-the-t-token/134

EstebanK, Nahuus, Evandro Corollari: https://forum.keep.network/t/t3-token-proposal/154

While current proposals are being discussed and amended by community members based on feedback, the deadline to submit new proposals is April 30th at 9am EST.

The deadline will be followed by a joint community call on Friday April 30th at 12pm EST. The link to join will be dropped in both Discords 10 minutes prior to the call.

Both Keep Network and NuCypher community members are invited to discuss proposals and outline the positives and negatives of each plan. We will work together collectively towards a final combined proposal based on feedback from both communities. The proposal consolidation will be managed by Keep Governance Coordinator Ben Longstaff.

The final combined proposal will be confirmed by May 5th, at which point both communities will have a few days to discuss and make edits accordingly. The Final combined proposal will reach votes in both communities on May 10th.

Project KEANU is an unprecedented endeavor to bring two aligned blockchain-based projects and tokens together, and it’s our incredibly engaged and supportive communities that make it possible. We invite you to get further involved through any of our community channels, and look forward to further forging a path towards a decentralized future enabled by threshold cryptography.
