Community is central to everything we do at Keep, and our supporters never fail to impress us. Their contributions, both big and small, continue to make a meaningful difference for the network and its users. So we’re thrilled to share that we’ve officially awarded two long-term fellowships and a grant to members of the community who have gone above and beyond over the past year. Through their contributions, these community members have made Keep stronger and easier to use. We couldn’t be more excited to move forward with these standout contributors.

Community fellowships

Keep has awarded two long-term community fellowships. The first consists of 215,000 KEEP awarded to pythonmetaclass for the long-term maintenance of AllTheKeeps (ATK), a fantastic tool built by the community that shows all deposits on the network. ATK is a prime example of the level of talent and creativity that exists in the Keep community, and how consistently useful its contributions are.

The second fellowship consists of 200,000 KEEP awarded to ssh for their outstanding commitment to the community. This user has been a constant presence over the past year, most recently leading our community Gitcoin developer workshop, which can be seen here.

Digital Strategies is Awarded a KEEP Grant

In addition to the fellowships above, we have awarded a KEEP grant to the team at ChronoLogic to develop a tool that will let KEEP stakers on tBTC automatically avoid liquidations with an automated redemption system. tBTC, which launched in September 2020, is designed as the safe way for people to use bitcoin to access Ethereum DeFi. You can find full information about the ChronoLogic grant here.

This is only the beginning

We are consistently impressed by the quality of the contributions coming from members of our community, and we are excited that our first fellowships and grant have now been made official. But this is just the start. There will be many more opportunities for community members to earn fellowships and grants for the work they do so well. Going forward, we will also share specific details around the selection process for these awards. While they are still being finalized, they are likely to involve direct community input via decentralized governance mechanisms.

Congratulations to our first fellowship and grant recipients! Stay tuned for further updates: join the Keep Discord server and the tBTC Discord server to stay current and engage with our amazing communities.
