It’s been another busy month here at Keep and we have been hard at work to bring privacy to the blockchain. We are continuing to make progress on the Keep random beacon and have been able to share some of that with you. Our community is also growing and we are excited to get to know our new community members! Check out the updates below to see what we have been up to.

Building a Beacon: The Road to Mainnet by Antonio Salazar Cardozo

In this post, our Tech Lead, Antonio Salazar Cardozo, shares our approach to launching the Keep random beacon on Ethereum mainnet. He touches on our focus of careful development over speed and discusses the next steps in our process, including release plans.

Random Beacon Alpha API Demo App by Nik Grinkevich

One of our developers, Nik Grinkevich, shared a fun web app that we built using the Keep random beacon. You can use the web app to play with randomness on the blockchain by creating a random avatar. Give it a go and share your avatar with us on Twitter!

Meet the team in SF!

Keep is a Gold Sponsor of San Francisco Blockchain Week. The conference runs from October 5–12. Keep Developer Piotr Dyraga will be presenting on Threshold ECDSA on October 10 at 1:50pm on the Titans of Tech Stage.

From the Community

This month, we have been hard at work inviting the 24,000+ people on waiting list to join our Slack channel! If you are on our waiting list and haven’t gotten your invite yet — hold tight, it’s coming soon.

There have been some great conversations in the community this month. We now have team members visit our Slack channel a couple of times a week to chat with our community and answer questions. Check out this snippet of team members Jack Knutson and Sam Gurdus discussing goals for the community!
