New Team Members

We are going to start with exciting news about our team addition news — proud and happy to introduce Olivia Lovenmark as our Writer & Communication Strategist and Jarrell James as our Ecosystem Growth & Innovation Lead!

Olivia is an accomplished technical writer and content marketer, joining Keep from the marketing team at BitGo. Since 2016 she has worked with projects revolutionizing the capital markets, crypto asset management, health, news media, and more. Olivia has delivered talks on tokenized securities, the cryptocurrency regulatory environment, and brand development. As a digital marketer, she has helped companies message themselves to the world since 2010.
In 2013 Olivia completed her Canadian Securities (CSC) designation, moving from the corporate world to support fintech startups looking to democratize finance. As a financial literacy advocate, she has hosted personal finance events in Vancouver and San Francisco, teaching millennials how to invest in the stock market. In September 2017 she pitched with Voleo at Finovate New York and won best in the show. Her writing has been published in the Huffington Post, with client work published on Nasdaq, Coindesk, Bitcoin Magazine, IR Magazine, and more.

Jarrell is an emerging technology strategist whose career has been spent bringing next-generation tools to consumer and enterprise markets all over the world. He has an extensive history in VR/AR for molecular modeling and drug design, AI for finance, distributed storage networks, and many other web 3.0 systems. He will be focused on the go-to-market for the Keep Random Beacon and all the future infrastructure and projects launched by and built with Keep. He enjoys traveling and never says no to a great meal.

Meetups and Conferences — Boston, New York, London

The co-founder of Keep Network, Corbin Pon, was invited as a speaker on the privacy protection matter at the Boston Blockchain Week. Some of us have also attended the Blockchain Week NYC this month, kicking off some great collaborations and partnerships. You’ll hear more about it in the near future!

And next, we are in London at Web 3.0 & Decentralised Future, where Jarrell James will be presenting Keep and speaking with NuCypher and AZTEC team on a panel about Enabling Privacy-Preserving Computing.

Keep Network Libp2p Presentation at IPFS

On the 6th of May our developers Piotr Dyraga and Raghav Gulati gave a presentation at an IPFS Weekly Call + Contributor Office Hours on one of the important components of Keep — libp2p. You can learn more about how it went on IPFS GitHub or jump right into watching the video recording.

How do we encrypt?

Our newest article in the Decentralized Education Series is entitled “Keeping Secrets in Public Places with Homomorphic Encryption” by our Tech Lead Piotr Dyraga. Within he explains how we use homomorphic encryption to compute over information for the ability to use the information without the need to decrypt it.
