What James Prestwich is Looking For in September’s Playing for Keeps
Focus includes improving Bitcoin tooling and services as well as tBTC’s deposit process.
James Prestwich is serving as our Playing for Keeps judge for September with up to 2 million KEEP up for grabs. James himself has been a major contributor to tBTC project as founder of Summa, which works alongside Keep and Cross Chain Group on the open-source project.
“I’m really interested in things that improve Bitcoin tooling — relays, SPV proofs, etc,” James said, adding “and in terms of public goods, anything related to light client infrastructure, would be really welcome.”
James offers the following suggestions for some of the types of projects that he has an eye out for, particularly regarding Bitcoin:
- improve Bitcoin tooling — relays, SPV proofs, etc
- integrations with Lightning
- integrations with other Bitcoin services
- safely exchanging BTC for tBTC (or vice versa) without going through the Deposit process
- explorer for deposits in progress (tracking Bitcoin and Ethereum state)
James will announce his prizes, and the KEEP awards, in October.
Building on Playing for Keeps momentum
After previous months’ awards were selected by Spencer Noon and Victor Bunin, our very own CEO, Matt Luongo, took a turn over the last few weeks and rewarded the growing community and their skilled and passionate contributions with a total of 2 million KEEP distributed among 300 winners.
