On Saturday I caught up with Lorna from EMR (Experiencing Marine Reserves). The were running a public day of snorkelling and exploring down at Enclosure, one of the spots I have been snorkelling in too. I was really impressed with how many people came out for a swim, and how well organised the EMR crew were with the equipment setup and volunteer guide team… all very cool, and plenty to learn from them. The provide experiential learning about marine conservation, allowing people to see first hand what is happening under the water, and teaching them about what they can do to help — all very inspiring!

Lots happening down at Enclosure Bay last Saturday at the EMR Community Guided Snorkel Day.

The book is available via the Auckland Library, although only for in-library use, seems like you can’t check it out to take home and read at the weekend:
