Thank You, Delaware Democratic Party

I am appreciative of the support I have received from all who have embraced this campaign.

I would sincerely like to thank the Delaware Democratic Party for its encouragement and support. As a first time Senate candidate I didn’t know what to expect: would I be strong-armed by the state party? Would VoteBuilder, the online database used by political parties and campaigns, still be available to a candidate if their opponent was officially endorsed?

Fortunately, both of these concerns were unfounded. The state party changed the rule regarding VoteBuilder a few months after we announced my candidacy, and we have had a warm and open reception from the party as a whole. Representative District members and leadership have been accepting and responsive to our campaign, as the Delaware Democratic Party recognizes all candidates in a national race. Eric Raser-Schramm and Jesse Chadderdon, among others have reached out and offered training to my team members. Thank you, guys, for being a model of leadership.

It is exciting to see that people are genuinely embracing the primary process at the U.S. Senate level. I have been able to have open and honest conversations with both my supporters and with the loyal supporters of our opponent. These conversations are of vital importance. I am appreciative of the support I have received from all who have embraced this campaign. Thank you for truly making this the peoples’ campaign!
