The Burger Patty Recipe That Will Make You Drool

I adapted this recipe from my husband who grew up in the Mediterranean and spent quite a bit of time in Texas by the border enjoying an abundance of Mexican food . Many of our meals are fusion and it creates a lot of flavor. It’s relatively simple and you can substitute for ground beef if you like. You can also use pre-made turkey burgers to cut down on prep time. — @ketobasket

Prep Time: 8 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes

Utensils:

Skillet or Grill

Ingredients:

¼ lb of ground turkey with higher fat content

½ clove of garlic minced

½ sliced jalepeno

½ s sliced avocado

1 ½ tbs olive oil

1 tsp mayonnaise

1 tbs Greek seasoning (I use Cavender’s salt free no msg),

1 tbs sour cream or full fat yogurt

2 tsp hot sauce (I use Cholula)

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking:

  1. Add Greek seasoning , 1 tsp mayonnaise, minced garlic and sprinkle of salt and pepper to turkey meat. Mix well and form into patty.
  2. Add 2 tsp olive oil to skillet and cook jalapenos on med heat until browned and remove from skillet.
  3. Add 1 tbs of olive oil to skillet. Sprinkle with extra Greek seasoning on each side and cook turkey burger on medium heat until cooked through with no pink. Times will vary. Cook until temp reaches 165 degrees in the middle.
  4. Mix sour cream with 1 tsp hot sauce.
  5. Plate turkey burger and add sour cream, jalapenos, avocados. Sprinkle with pepper and add hot sauce to taste. Enjoy!
