“Mad Girl’s love song” is the new A-side single, soon to be released by Body Song. Guitarist Jackson Milgaten directed this kaleidoscope inspired dream state of a video and the lighting choices seem to serve the content of this piece very well. The song itself definitely has layers, that’s probably an understatement to be honest. It gently guides you in with a soft spacey flowing synth where it quickly cuts out into naked vocals lifted above a drum beat. Both the guitar and Drum patterns can be chaotic but definitely thought out systematically through the entire track. There is always a moment of sereneness that catches up and slows you back into the moment. Almost to serve as a calming period for the listener to catch up and register everything. Much like the title implies it really does feel like the aspects that come along with being in love with a girl who is, in fact, mad. Things shake and move and everything seems to be shifting when all of a sudden the storm stops and you’re reminded why you loved her in the first place only to be caught back into the chaos. All in all the track runs free with expressions and seems to cycle through a handful of emotions that fit very well with the implications that come along with the title. Peep the video below and see for yourself.
