Wintermeyer brings together Jazz and Electronic the way Reese’s brings together chocolate and peanut butter, so smooth and delicious its hard not to be addicted after your first taste. Like Reese’s keeping their chocolate and peanut butter the focus, the young duo from the UK understand that by keeping each aspect of their sound from being too cluttered, each side can complement the other allowing for them to shine brighter as one.

Debut single ‘Been a Fool” was like a mission statement. When the beat’s at full swing the drums and bass hit hard enough to get a dance floor going. When the track strips down to piano and trumpet its smooth and melodic enough to score a cafe in Paris or get a young jazz student excited to pick up an instrument. New Single “Ive Got You Under My Skin” brings together both styles at once.

Rather than playing in extremes of dance or jazz, Wintermeyer combine the two styles making one; blurring the lines between the past and the present, jazz and electronic. When the bass starts the song sounds like the chillest lounge track coming straight out of a French night club. When the piano and vocals take over it has the feel of a modern day Frank Sinatra singing about love in New York City. The drum beat brings us into the present and then the trumpet glides in taking us somewhere we’ve never been. The song continues on with this delicate balance, effortlessly combining genres of music that are usually at odds with one another. With their latest single, Wintermeyer combine seperate styles of music in a way that makes it seem silly anyone ever pitted one against the other.
