Stratis Full Node 3.0.2. Release

Last week Stratis released their Full Node 3.0.2. A significant amount of work has gone into this release to ensure the stability of the node and includes a total of 475 individual commits from our initial production release. In addition to the release of the Stratis Full Node, an updated version of Stratis Core is also immediately available.

The adoption of Stratis Core will lead to the enablement of Cold-Staking on the Stratis mainchain, allowing holders of the Stratis Token to stake while their funds remain secure in an offline wallet. This release is a pivotal step towards becoming a blockchain entirely operated by nodes running on the .NET Framework.

The more people migrating from StratisX to Stratis Core the better, Stratis delivered a guide which helps with the process -> https://stratisplatform.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Migrating-to-Stratis-Core.pdf

You can read Stratis’ full announcement here. C# Corner and Cryptoninjas wrote articles about the release as well.

Stratis Verified ICO Airdrop

Chris Trew, CEO of Stratis, announced on Twitter that 1% of the MediConnect tokens (a Stratis Verified ICO) will be airdropped to $STRAT holders.

On Discord the community asked for some clarification and additional details, Chris explained that it’s the goal of Stratis to do this with all the projects building on the Stratis Platform which is something that gives extra utility to the $STRAT token and it also creates awareness and goodwill for the project itself.

Another thing that a lot of people were wondering is about the details of how one can be eligible for the upcoming airdrop. These details still have to come out, however Chris did give some hints towards it. There is a good chance the airdrop will likely only be supported by Stratis Core, which also benefits the cold staking as it needs people to migrate to Stratis Core.

Stratis Cold Staking

With the release of the Full Node and Stratis Core update, cold staking is coming closer. A lot of people have been asking if Ledger support will be there for cold staking. Chris confirmed that Stratis will implement Ledger support once cold staking is activated.

Since the start of the activation period, 466 blocks, which is 33% of the blocks already mined, have signalled to activate cold staking. You can follow the progress here.

New Stratis Blockchain Explorer

Tokenview released a new Stratis Blockchain Explorer last week which is based on the new node. Multilingual, stable explorer with on-chain data analysis. You can find it here.

Highlights AMA

Recently the CEO of Stratis, Chris Trew, held an AMA at Cryptocopia. Last week Cryptocopia released the highlights video of the AMA.

Vanity Address Generator

Community developer Clint built a new feature on his website stratis.guru which is called the Vanity Address Generator and can be found here.

Mission Stratosphere Publish0x

Recently more and more Stratis articles are coming to the surface on the new platform Publish0x. One of the latest is from community member Cristian and it’s called “Mission Stratosphere — STRAT Price Action Overview” you can read his article here.

That’s it for now. All the best to everyone!
