At KI labs, we always strive to have similar visual experience on both mobile platforms. During the development phase of one of our recent projects at KI labs, there was a need for snackbar counterpart of iOS which doesn’t exist in the UIKit.

Snackbar definition from material design guidelines:

Snackbars inform users of a process that an app has performed or will perform. They appear temporarily, towards the bottom of the screen. They shouldn’t interrupt the user experience, and they don’t require user input to disappear.

There were couple of alternatives available though none of them were as easy to use as we like or offer bunch of extras which we are not interested in therefore we decided to implement one.

Now we’re happy to share this with the community as our first mobile open source library.

It’s available on our Github page.
