Several days after series of protest in Charlotte over the killing of Keith Scott by The Police, children in the community say the are mentally and psychologically traumatized. Zianna Oliphant wept profusely as she addressed the community at The City council meeting saying it’s a shame that their father’s and mother’s are being killed and having to see them buried. Zianna’s voice resonated in the hall generating some emotions. “We are black people and we shouldn’t have to feel like this, we shouldn’t have to protest but y’all are treating us wrong,” she said. “We do this because we need to and we have rights.”

The father of seven was shot after reports revealed the Police were searching for someone else wanted for arrest. Although two videos have been released after violent protest raged the city, it was also revealed that the body camera of the officer who killed him was not activated until after the shot was fired.

The protesters are also asking the mayor to resign as part of the justice they want for the killing.

The audience held placards that read, ‘Black Lives Matter’.
