Most people love birthday parties — it’s a special day filled with funfetti cake, balloons, and if you’re really lucky, adorable puppies. This week Kickstarter turned 7 years-old. Our co-founder Yancey Strickler put it best: “We like what we do.” And quite frankly, we couldn’t do it without you. Thanks for being a-ma-zing. We believe that creative projects make for a better world, and can’t wait to see what this year unfolds. This week we’re sharing SEVEN must-read #LinksWeLike. Enjoy! 🎂

1. Happy Birthday, Kickstarter!

2.) Before you launch your project, you’ll feel a flood of emotions: Anticipation, anxiety, or what creator Doug Kramer likes to call “Omigodwhatif”.

3.) It’s not easy to shoot a movie on film these days, but Kodak and Kickstarter are trying to change that.

4.) After you watch an episode of ‘Fuller House’, head over to see the Olsen Twins Hiding From the Paparazzi exhibit.

5.) #CreatorHangouts Alert: Plan your project roadmap with Katie Kirsch, co-founder of Girls Driving for a Difference.

6.) This week, we hosted our first ever #KickstarterChat on Twitter. We learned a lot from everyone that participated and we can’t wait for the next one!

Send your questions to #KickstarterChat!

7.) And last but not least, here’s a little birthday treat we’d like to share with you…a puppy party! Who doesn’t love puppies?

Puppy parties are the best parties.

Thanks for seven years of amazing, inventive, unique, and inspiring projects…and here’s to many many many more! ❤
