MIDVALE, UTAH. Armed with 25 pounds of blueberries, 30 pounds of strawberries, 100 pounds of Kodiak Cake mix, 12 gallons of water, 15 bunches of bananas, 512 oz of syrup, 10 gallons of milk, 200 water bottles, 375 plate tins, 40 Volunteers and 1 b-girl DJ Chase Hansen and his team descended on Midvale to conduct a social experiment, serving 150 families and kids from the Midvale Road Home Shelter a pop-up pancake breakfast with an intention… to foster connection and give them something healthy to support their bodies.
WHAT IS PANCAKES WITH PURPOSE
It is a Social Experiment by 9 year old businessman and philanthropist Chase Hansen [ Draper, Utah ] teaming up with a prospective Eagle Scout, Kodiak Cakes, and The Junction Grill, to engineer a healthy brunch with a mission to facilitate positive connection in the community. Start your Sunday off right with protein packed, whole grain Kodiak Cakes with loads of healthy, fresh fruit toppings and positive people.
WHY
Meaningful connections are made through positive experiences where we practice empathy and develop trust as neighbors. We heal from our struggles through simply spending time with one another and finding out what we have in common.
HOW
Break Bread. Food brings us together to make new friends or to spend time with those we love. Minister and uplift others simply by sharing quality time over a meal and a friendly conversation.
WHO
Positive friends and families networking with [ VIPs ] individuals and families who have OR are experiencing homelessness, addiction, or trauma, who are wanting to make new friends in a positive environment, peer to peer, kid to kid, person to person…over a brunch.
