Todd Hitt Sponsors American Heart Association Heart’s Delight Wine Tasting & Auction
On May 10–13, 2017, the American Heart Association (AHA) will host the Heart’s Delight Wine Tasting and Auction. The event is four days of good food, good company, excellent wine, and fundraising to fight heart disease and stroke.
Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death in the United States, and the №1 health threat to women. It causes 1 out of every 3 deaths: that’s 801,000 every year, 2,200 every day, and one every 40 seconds.
Todd Hitt, CEO of Kiddar Capital, was introduced to the mission of AHA by Brian Kearney and is sponsoring the Heart’s Delight event. “The AHA does incredible work to fight one of the deadliest health problems in the United States,” says Hitt. “I am proud to support their mission.”
The American Heart Association, founded by six cardiologists in 1924, now numbers 22 million volunteers and supporters. The organization funds medical research, education programs, and policy initiatives to improve the health and lives of all Americans.
Brian Kearney of Kearney & Company is a member of the Heart’s Delight Wine Tasting & Auction Executive Board. He says the event is truly unique. “There are world-class Bordeaux producers and chefs from across the country, an auction led by Jamie Ritchie of Sotheby’s, and dinners at Ambassador’s Residences,” he says. “The four days of Heart’s Delight provide participants with the ideal combination of great food and wine while raising the much-needed funding to support the mission of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.”
Since the first Heart’s Delight Wine Tasting & Auction in 1999, the event has raised over $15 million for the American Heart Association.
