We’ve made it to the third week! Here is another printable for you all to encourage the spreading of kindness throughout the land *or something like that* 😉. This time, we are sharing a Kindness Tree for you all to make with the children.

For our #52KindWeeks initiative we have a gorgeous Kindness Tree for you to make with the kids - so simple, and so effective at making someone very, very happy! #BeKind2017 #Kindness #homeschool

It really is a simple idea:

  1. Print out the tree outline below,
  2. Print out the leaves that we have also provided for you; green ones, because, well, we like to be a bit traditional,
  3. Get your children to think of someone, perhaps a teacher, or their Mum or Dad, or even their gran or grandad; Anyone that means something to them, and you want to help feel special. They might even be a little bit adventurous, and choose their siblings (if they have one), and
  4. Get them to write something on each leaf that is positive about that person. So, for example:
  • You have a lovely smile,
  • You make me laugh,
  • You give me good cuddles,
  • You make the nicest teas, or
  • Whenever I’m sad, you really cheer me up.
  1. When you have completed all the leaves, cut them out, and stick them on your tree in any way you want
  2. Lastly, pop it in an envelope, and pass it on to the person you have dedicated it to.

I can GUARANTEE that they will utterly love it, and you forever when you give it to them.

Here is the Kindness Tree; so pop over to the site and collect the leaves to add to it as well! #Kindness #52KindWeeks #BeKind2017 #Homeschool

For something a little bit special, how about passing it on to a neighbour, with some positive messages on instead of giving details about your relationship with them. That could make someone’s day.

Here are the leaves for our Kindness Tree - we hope you enjoy making it. #52KindWeeks #Kindness #BeKind #homeschool

Finally, if you aren’t too sure about making the tree, you can always just leave the leaves around where you live?

Pop a hole in the bottom with a hole-punch, and tie them to a bush or a branch after you and the children have added positive affirmations to them. How about:

  • Today will be the best day EVER for you,
  • You WILL succeed this time, or
  • Just do it.

Leave them tied to whatever you fancy for someone to find; to brighten their day. Don’t clutter the world too much with paper though, be sparing, as we wouldn’t want you to spread litter as well as kindess! 😂😉

Kindess cost nothing and make so much of a difference to people. Visit the site, and make a Kindness Tree with your kids for someone today. It'll make their day. #52KindWeeks #Kindness #BeKind2017 #homeschool

We hope you like this — part of the #52KindWeeks series of posts to help spread a little joy throughut the internet. We would love for you to get involved, so check out the other Kindness resources that we have on the site:

  • Introducing #52KindWeeks, to give you a little more information about what this is all about,
  • 10 ideas for Random Acts of Kindness, so that you can take part as well,
  • Random Acts of Kindness Cards to hand out to people when you DO an act of kindess, so you aren’t accused of being mad, or that you can also leave around for people to find when you have written on them, and
  • A Christmas Kindness Advent calendar.

There are a lot of great resources out there for Kindness Trees in schools — this is a more simple idea for the home, but you could use the resources in the classroom too. Other ideas for Kindness trees include:

We hope you would like to join in with this, so please do join in with our Kindness sharing; if possible do add anything that you post on social media about this below as well. Whether it is a public post on Facebook, a simple tweet or even a blog post, we would love to hear from you. We would love everyone to get involved in this is possible.

See you, same time next week!
