I went to one of my Kinder girls’ monthly school-community meetings and found inspiration from the principal of her school. During a presentation from a lady representing Junior Achievement in Hawaii, he had asked quite a few good questions for which I did not think the answers were sufficient enough for the kinder kids.

One of the questions asked was if any of the programs for the Kinder kids included content about entrepreneurship stuff, like costs or profit margins. It seems like there were none, hence my inspiration for moving further along with the Kinder Garden Box Project. The kinder kids will create, communicate, collaborate and make money.

More importantly, the question of the night was whether there was an after school club the kids could take part in as an additional part of the program. The answer seemed rather vague, so I’m figuring we’ll need to create a KETCHUP N’ Eat Club for after school Kinder kids.

We’ll need to figure out the mission and vision of the club before anything else. A few things come to mind like achieving greatness, thinking outside the box or creating a link to common core standards.

If you find value in this article or know a teacher who would, please check the recommend button, it would mean a lot to the kids.
