Yum Yum Sauce
I recently stumbled across a recipe for Yum Yum Sauce that I had written and saved years ago, and let me tell you — it looks absolutely delicious! If you’re a fan of that creamy, tangy, slightly sweet sauce you get at Japanese steakhouses, this is going to be your go-to. The recipe is simple, and I can already imagine drizzling it over a plate of hibachi veggies or using it as a dip for crispy shrimp (or my favorite Japanese Cabage Pancakes — not their real name).
Now, I have to admit, I wasn’t sure what rice vinegar was when I first saw this recipe. But after a little research, I found out that it’s a mild vinegar made from fermented rice, commonly used in Asian cooking. It’s a bit sweeter and less acidic than regular white vinegar, which makes it a great addition to sauces and marinades. So, if you haven’t tried it yet, don’t be intimidated — rice vinegar is a kitchen game changer!
My Meal Planning Journey (Or Lack Thereof 😅)
I’ll be honest — this recipe has been sitting in my “recipes to try” folder for a while now, and I still haven’t gotten around to making it. Does anyone else have a massive collection of recipes but somehow ends up making the same 5 meals on rotation or ordering from somewhere like Home Chef?
I use Plan to Eat to store my recipes and organize meals. It’s a fantastic tool for meal…
