2020 is coming to a close, but we’ve got some quality screen free festivities to squeeze in. Merrily continuing our tradition of combining fun and education, several of our Kids Listen podcasts put out episodes for your winter holiday pleasure.

We hope that you love these special episodes we’ve created for you and your family. Enjoy listening to your favorite kids podcasts, and discover some new favorites along the way!

The Adventures of Power Dog in Dogland!

A special Winter holiday episode in which the dogs play in the snow and share some Dogland mythology.

At Your Level

How, and also what, are you celebrating this holiday season? In this episode, we hope more than ever that you’ll play along. We turn the spotlight on a different winter holiday in every segment. Kids talk about their favorite Christmas traditions in the interview, Ari’s grandparents pop-in for some Hanukkah talk, we Nerd Out to learn about Kwanzaa. we even got Ben to play us his trombone for a fun name that holiday tune game in-between. Last but not least, we ring in 2021 with a New Years bad dad.

Best Whatever Ever

Oh no! Scarlett’s beloved stuffed doggies are missing! She left them in Santa Monica and now it’s up to her dad to find and save them. But things don’t go as planned. His superhero suit is at the dry cleaners (how else can he fly?!), his car is out of gas, and what good is a turbo-powered excavator if there is a ton of traffic (wait… why is he driving an excavator?)? Will dad rescue the doggies and reunite them with Scarlett? Tune in to find out! Based on a true story (kind of).

Cool Facts About Animals

Grady, Clara, Teddy and mom Ali sit down to talk about the starfish (or is it a sea star?). You’ll learn that this festive-shaped star can come with many, many more arms than you’d imagine, what important things it’s lacking, the strange place its eyes are located, and about its amazing superpower.

Nature Nerds With Laine

Ms. Laine is on a mission to save the critters of Lake Pontchartain, but Joseph doesn’t see the importance of fighting for the little guys. It’s up to three special ghosts to teach him the error of his ways. Special guests Mick Sullivan of the Past and the Curious Podcast and Sarah Fruge.

The Past and The Curious

John Joseph Merlin created automata, musical instruments, clocks, and one of the first pairs of roller skates. His roller skate debut was pretty tragic (and hilarious). A.C. Gilbert was a magician turned toymaker who created some important and lasting toys, and also some incredibly dangerous ones.

Story On

Laura shares some exciting news! Then, she talks about foreshadowing and what it can add to a story. Next, in “Journey to the Realm of Sweets,” an adventure that starts at the sledding hill takes a sugary turn. But this magical place isn’t as sweet as…

Time For Lunch

Time For Lunch is back with the sweetest episode yet! Hannah and Harry dive into the wonderful world of chocolate. That’s right! We’re talking Willy Wonka, Hershey, PA, and all the delicious shapes this universal favorite comes in. Chocolate expert and founder of Dandelion Chocolate, Todd Masonis gives us a behind the scene look at his chocolate factory in San Francisco. Todd teaches us how chocolate goes from bean to bar and all the steps in between! Cake pioneer, Rose Levy Beranbaum shares her two-ingredient chocolate ganache recipe, perfect for filling a cake or making yummy truffles.

Unspookable

For those of us who have been good all year the holidays are a time for celebration and gifts… but, for for those of us who have been naughty, we may have a half goat, half demon visitor waiting to steal us away. What’s that, cheery soul? Not familiar? Well then, let’s tell you a little more about Krampus.
