The Fina Mendoza Mysteries podcast is written and produced by Kitty Felde.

All Things Madison Podcast

Madison, an 8-year-old girl, hosts this show for kids to go behind the scenes of some of their favorite places, to be entertained, and to get inspired! It’s a wacky, wild, fun time. In the spirit of shedding light on black history while embracing women’s history, we often see crossover opportunities such as this episode. We have a newly elected Vice President, Kamala Harris, a graduate of Howard University and a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. But it was Activist Shirley Chisolm who paved the way nearly 50 years earlier as she became the first black and first woman to become a candidate for the President of the United States. In this episode, we explore how both equally powerful women confronted the obstacles in their paths in uniquely different ways, with a result leading to historic firsts.

The Past and The Curious: A History Podcast for Kids & Families

No one could have predicted that Sophie Blanchard would become France’s leading aeronaut, but she flew higher than any woman before her. Willa Brown was the first Black woman to earn a pilot’s license in America, but her accomplishments didn’t end there. In many ways, she deserves credit for the famed Tuskegee Airmen. Also features Red Moon Road’s song Sophie Blanchard 1778 (Official Aeronaut of the Empire and Restoration)
