Disneyland launches, and nails, its first iPad app
Orlando, Florida. The Orange County Register. February 2, 2012. (English). The first thing toddlers learn to do with an iPad is swipe and Disney just built its entire theme park experience, which just officially launched Thursday (today) on Apple’s App Store, around that basic interaction scheme.
Users swipe their way left to right and right to left around the 429 megabyte app to explore the entireDisneyland resort — from Main Street U.S.A. to California Adventure. Even the hotels and Downtown Disney are there with some cool interactive experiences built for various park attractions.

You can play the iconic Haunted Mansion music on a piano or arrange the scenes of World of Color and play with the fountains. The attention to detail is impressive. In World of Color, they’ve included the part where Simba gets chased by the wildebeests.
