KidZania Dubai Celebrates its Third Anniversary

(English). -KidZania Dubai, the award-winning children’s edutainment center managed by Emaar Retail LLC in The Dubai Mall, is celebrating its third anniversary, and has welcomed close to half a million visitors in 2012, continuing to be a preferred leisure destination in the UAE. For its third anniversary, the award-winning children’s edutainment center is sharing the KidZania nation’s story with the little ones, enabling them to learn more about the mini-city, its history and its language, through themed activities, until February 20, 2013.
As part of the celebrations, children are invited to engage in several activities including street parades with colourful flags, treasure hunts, interactive games, kite making at the arts & crafts workshop, hair & nail styling using the colours of the KidZania flag, perfume creation, jewellery making and cooking new recipes at the culinary school.
In 2012, KidZania Dubai hosted almost 500,000 visitors comprising students from over 245 schools. This strong footfall reaffirmed the status of the edutainment center as one of Dubai’s most popular leisure destination for children.
Located on level 2 of The Dubai Mall, KidZania Dubai lends wings to the dreams of the little ones, as they enact over 80 role-playing professions including that of pilots, doctors, healthcare professionals, civil defence personnel, police officers, reporters, photographers, engineers, fashion model, and artists, among others.
KidZania provides a safe, unique and very realistic educational environment that allows kids to do what comes naturally to them: role-playing by mimicking traditionally ‘adult’ activities.
It features offices, a university, fire station, race track, radio station, pizzeria, hospital, bank, theatre, among others, all scaled down to a smaller, child-friendly size. Children dress up in real-life uniforms and perform realistic professional tasks in a fun and meaningful way.
