KidZania has a long history in working on developing premium experiential learning environments.

Since the foundation of its first State, all metropolises within the KidZania Nation have been committed to foster a learning experience that is child-centered, role-play based, creative, passionate, interactive, skill-focused, values-based, accessible, safe, realistic and above all, fun.

These features have inspired children in different countries to learn and find about different careers, rather than to be taught about it. Kids at KidZania learn the skills they need to be independent and more confident, since they are given different options and are also allowed to make mistakes.

Another essential ingredient of all activities at KidZania is role-playing, a form of Experiential Learning that encourages children to become active participants in their learning. By being actively involved, kids are empowered to be more curious, to discover new career options and experience the world of work from a younger age.

As Ger Graus, Director of Education at KidZania have stated: “Children can only aspire to what they know exists”. Therefore, school visits to KidZania are of utter importance since these can be used for career-awareness and also used as an inspirational tool; specially for schools from deprived areas.

In order to expand its impact on children’s learning, KidZania have teamed up with educators as part of a “Think-Tank”, which aims to lobby and consult with policy makers and key influencers related to education in different countries; being their ultimate goal to affect change for the better through building a creative approach to social mobility.

Due to the relevance of KidZania’s Experiential Learning approach, representatives of its Central Government have participated in international forums related to the future of education, such as BETT, IPEN (International Positive Education Network) and The Bookseller Children’s Conference. This interest has also been translated into articles published in several media outlets in different regions, related to KidZania’s contribution to children’s learning everywhere.
