So I asked my friend Jeremy Kirshbaum’s two-word Future Forecasting AI to generate a short forecast on “Decentralized City” It gave me the best definition I’ve heard yet:

Decentralized City: The next decade will see a continued trend toward decentralization in cities. With advances in technology, there is no longer a need for people to be concentrated in a small area in order to work together effectively. This decentralization will be driven by a number of factors, including the increasing cost of living in central urban areas, the need for people to be closer to nature, and the desire for greater personal freedom and autonomy. As a result, we will see the rise of new types of communities, built around shared values and a commitment to sustainable living. These communities will be more self-sufficient, and will make use of advanced technologies to minimize their impact on the environment.

Nuff said. Mic drop. Lets go.
