Announcing Next City Forum 2023

We are excited to announce Next City Forum 2023

Taking place in Austin Texas, Monday March 13th from 3–7pm during SXSW week as we bring together innovative thinkers to dream up the next generation of cities and communities together.

Hosted by Alternate Futures, Cabin, Kift, Origami and Spectra Cities.

With the move from office-centered cities to an undefined new paradigm, our goal is to reclaim and redefine the future of cities — bringing together change-makers, thinkers, and doers from interconnected and emerging disciplines including the Metaverse, DAOs, AI Design and Architecture, Sustainability and Resilience, Decentralized Cities, Community Equity Inclusion & Belonging, New Materials, and Repurposing Urban Cores.

“This is the most important thing we can be talking about right now — With the cascade from remote work to closed offices and retail we are looking at the most significant change in cities since the industrial revolution. Now is the time to envision what’s the next generation of cities looks like -digital, physical, hybrid- and start to build it. And it’s going to take all of us to make it.”

The event will be fully participatory, unconference, aimed at creating space for emerging voices, making connections, educating, and igniting change.
