Infinix Big 6 Review (Infinix Note 2 X600)
The latest big thing from Infinix is the Big 6 and is the bigger version, literally, of the Hot Note. It offers a new software, long lasting battery, powerful camera and a larger display.
This is a new phablet from Infinix featuring 6-inch screen size. The screen makes up 86% of the device because it features an 86% screen to body ratio. It is 159.5mm tall, 82.5mm wide and 9.3mm thick.
It is big, and that is a big headline. Even though some may not be moved by its size because they prefer a smaller size for easy one-handed operations, others will be appealed by it because of the convenience got when gaming and watching videos on this display.
It also has a premium feel owing to the fine finishing employed by the designers.
The primary camera is conveniently located in the top center of the back with a LED flash beside it, and the front cam can be found on the top left corner.
The volume and power buttons are conveniently located on the right side for ease of access, and the jack is at the top with the USB port at the center but at the bottom.
It is a good design.
This phone features a 6-inch display but has a poor resolution in regard to the size. It features 720x1280 screen resolution, and keen students of physics deduce from the above information that the pixel density is low.
The pixel density notwithstanding, the display is amazing and has a more satisfying viewing experience compared to lesser sizes.
Colors and Variants
This phone comes in different colors. The available colors are:
- Dark grey
This gives you a wide range of options to pick from. I wish there were a black color available.
This phone also has two different models, the 1GB RAM and 2GB RAM models both featuring 16GB internal storage.
O.S. And Processor
The Big 6 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and Mali 450-MP4 GPU. You will, however, enjoy Infinix’ XUI that claims an improved battery life, faster response and a customizable interface. Apps, wallpapers, and themes are all bundled into this UI giving you variety and value.
This processor is much better and faster than the one found in Hot Note when processing data. This means you will enjoy multitasking, heavy gaming and much more without a decline in performance or lagging.
It is a 4G device, and this means you will enjoy internet surfing at magnificent speeds. It is faster than 3G, and I would advise you to buy a 4G SIM to enjoy a great surfing experience.
This device features a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP selfie cam. We can go into the details of the features but what you need to know is that the selfie cam gives some amazingly flawless photos. This also goes for the rear camera on Note 2 which focuses at a very high speed and does not require you to touch the screen. This is great for fast picture taking.
Never miss a moment with the amazing camera on this device. It also utilizes Stack and Samsung ISO cell tech for enhanced resolution and an enhanced light intake for precise low-lit photography.
The Note 2 promises 2-day battery life, and one can get more than that with the 4040mAh battery. You do not have to wait for long before recharging so you can wait for long when charging because this phone offers fast charging.
This is because of the dual IC-charge design and the next-gen charging technology combined with ATL heavy-duty batteries.
It also features advanced power saving functions that is great when outdoors or in remote locations without access to power.
This device is also available at a fairly decent price.
- 4G LTE
- Fast charging
- Large display
- Great battery capacity
- Poor PPI
- Plastic cover
