I want to warn, that the second half of this episode will contain some gruesome facts about sexual assault, rape, kidnapping, and murder.

A hammer is a tool or device that delivers a blow to an object. Most hammers are hand tools used to drive nails, fit parts, forge metal, break apart objects, and sometimes for murder.

Hammers vary in shape, size, and structure depending on their purposes. Hammers are basic tools in many trades. The usual features are a head (most often made of steel) and a handle. The use of simple hammers dates to around 3.3 million years ago. The hammer’s archeological record shows that it may be the oldest tool that we have definite evidence of. In recent years, the handles have been made of durable plastic or rubber, though wood is still widely used because of its shock-absorbing qualities and repairability. But, the essential part of a hammer is the head, a compact solid mass that is able to deliver a blow to the intended target without itself deforming. and If its not apparent enough, Wikipedia warns, that A hammer may cause significant injury if it strikes the body.

This podcast is going to focus on a single man, Harvey Carignan, also known as The Want-Ad Killer and Harv the Hammer.
