KillSwitch Claiming Issue Incident Report
3rd November 2021
Earlier today, we were informed that there had been an error in claiming KSW token. Developers had found out that the cause of the problem was from the “Mixture Withdraw” feature. The system extracted KSW from the pool which was supposedly the reserved pool for claiming KSW causing insufficiency to provide for a claim. However, the team has fixed this problem and KillSwitch.Finance is now operating as usual.
9:42 AM (UTC+7) Developers were informed about the error in claiming KSW token. The issue found was that the KSW in the reserved pool allocated for claiming was insufficient.
3:20 PM (UTC+7) KillSwitch Developers added 5,000KSW into the reserved pool for users to claim.
3:59 PM (UTC+7) Developers were looking for the source of the error along with Inspex and found out that the “Mixture withdraw” feature had been extracted out of the reserved pool allocated for claiming KSW. Right after that the “mixture swap”- immediate withdrawal of KSW; feature was closed down.
5:28 PM (UTC+7) KillSwitch had calculated the amount of KSW extracted and bought back 41,373.54 KSW (~$6,464) as reimbursements. https://bscscan.com//tx/0xcb73e9e7ad1080b371c4872ffceab9d49cacf6532ed8f1dbebb553f0245e5681
