KiloEx Resoluton Plan for Users Affected by the Security Incident
Due to the security incident that occurred on April 14, 2025, from 18:27 to 19:40 UTC, where KiloEx was exploited by a hacker, some user activities were affected. We are now announcing tailored compensation plans for traders, Hybrid Vault stakers, and VIP users.
For Affected Traders:
Your limit orders will be cancelled, TP/SL orders will be executed as normal.
If your positions remained open during the platform suspension, they will still be active after the KiloEx platform resume. If your losses increased or profits decreased during this suspension, we will fully compensate the difference.
Examples:
- If your unrealized loss was $100 when the platform went offline and increased to $200 upon resume, you will be compensated $200 — $100 = $100.
- If your unrealized profit was $500 at shutdown and dropped to $300 at resume, you will be compensated $500 — $300 = $200.
Please close your position as soon as possible after the platform resumes. Compensation will be calculated based on the platform’s resume time. Delaying your position closure may lead to differences between your actual PnL and the compensation amount. Thank you for your understanding.
For Hybrid Vault Stakers:
As all stolen funds were successfully recovered and fully re-injected into the Hybrid Vault, your principal and earnings during this period remain unaffected.
Additionally, we will launch a Special Yield Boost Campaign upon resume. Details are as follows:
- Eligible Assets (vault deposits made prior to the platform resume):
- Chains: opBNB, BNB Chain, Base, Manta
- Tokens: USDT, USDC
- Campaign Period:
From 13:00 UTC on April 24, 2025, to 13:00 UTC on May 24, 2025 (30 consecutive days required)
- Incentive:
Users will receive an additional 10% APY on top of the base platform yield. The bonus yield will be paid out in USDT.
Example Calculation:
For a user who deposited $1000 USDT before the resume, assuming the displayed APY on the last day is 6.35%:
- Base yield: $1000 × 6.35% ÷ 365 × 30 ≈ 5.2 USDT
- Bonus yield: $1000 × 10% ÷ 365 × 30 ≈ 8.2 USDT
- Total yield: 13.4 USDT, and the bonus yield $8.2 will be settled in USDT.
For KiloEx VIP Users:
The VIP user level will be determined based on a real-time snapshot taken at the time of the KiloEx security incident on April 14. All affected VIP users will automatically receive a +1 level upgrade (excluding VIP7 users). All affected users, including VIP7, will enjoy a 30-day VIP status protection period.
